About the Department

Bachelor of Management Studies (B.M.S.) course was introduced by the University of Mumbai in1999. The Bachelor of Management Studies (B.M.S.) course was started in Sathaye College in 2003.

The BMS course is composed of six semesters spread over three years. Students have to select their specialization subject in the second year. BMS department in Sathaye College offers Finance and Marketing for specialization.

Our faculties are academically prepared in their specialised field of management and have professional experience across industries. One of our key strengths is to integrate professional experience into classroom learning and include the application of theory to real world situation.

Sathaye College B.M.S. Department pursues knowledge hand in hand with the extra-curricular activities  with the aim of developing complete individuals with strong personal values. This is done in the following way.

The BMS course:

  • Integrates industry interaction in the form of guest lectures, summer internships, field visits, live projects.
  • Develops communication skills and team work skills through presentations and workshops.
  • Encourages community service projects to help sensitise students to their environment.
  • Continuously encourages faculty training and enhancement activities.
  • Follows a student-centric approach, thereby empowering students

BMS department of Sathaye College has been successful in placing students in eminent organizations such as Crisil, Freight Systems pvt. ltd., Thomson Reuters, TCS BPO, Essel Forex, Future Generali pvt. ltd. to  name a few.
